Dino is a 5-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix. I adopted him two years ago. I am looking to find a new home for him as my job is increasingly taking me out of town for extended periods, and my rented apartment does not provide adequate space for Dino to thrive.

Dino loves to be around people including children. I work at a school, and Dino occasionally visits. The children love him, and he has always behaved well around the kids. He can be very high energy, but is often content to lay around indoors with people. He is current on all of his shots, and currently gets monthly flea and tick treatment (Frontline). He has no chronic health issues.

He tolerates some other dogs. He has bonded with a beagle on the property where we live now, but he ignores most other dogs as long as they ignore him. He does not get along with cats, chickens, or other small animals. He loves to dig for gophers.

For most of my time with Dino, we lived in apartments in the city. When we lived with other roommates, he could be left at home because there were often others around. However, when I moved into a house without other roommates he did not tolerate being left at home for too long, and had some separation anxiety issues. I have been crate training him. He sleeps in the crate, and tolerates being alone in the crate for 3-4 hours. We are currently living in a house with a large fenced property of multiple acres, but we will be moving again at the end of the month.

I think that he will do best in a situation where he won't have to be alone for very long each day, and where he has a yard to run around off leash. As much as it pains me, my current life does not allow for either of those conditions. If you are interested in taking care of Dino, please e-mail me at npharden@gmail.com with a little bit of information about yourself and the home you can provide for him. I'm not looking for any money, just a good home for my good friend. He will come with his leash, harness, crate, dog beds, and any food/treats that I have. Thank you.
