After much thought I have decided that it is time to find my beagle Gomez a new home. As much as it kills me I have to admit that in this time of my life I really cannot provide the attention and consistency a dog needs. Gomez is a 7 year old pocket beagle up to date with his shots and preventative flea and heartworm meds. He is neutered, healthy, and happy and needs lots of attention and affection. He gets along great with all animals and humans. I have only heard him bark 3 times (which is unusual for a beagle) and I have never seen him aggressive. He is an extremely sweet dog and I would like to find him a home preferably with young children so that he can be happy and provide happiness and love to those around him.

I would like to be straightforward about him in the beginning to avoid any confusion or frustration. Although Gomez is the sweetest and naturally happiest dog I have ever encountered, he is a lot to handle. He is short-haired so he does need frequent grooming and upkeep. He also has a tendency to lick different surfaces constantly (my vet told me it may be some form of canine OCD but that was never confirmed). Due to all of his licking he has a tendency to vomit occasionally and unexpectedly. Honestly and truly I believe his unconditional love and sweetness out ways any negatives. I even considered training him as a therapy dog because I have witnessed the joy and happiness he brings to all people. As a young professional with a career that requires geographic mobility, I just don't believe I am the most suitable to take care of him. I am hoping to find a home for him preferably to a family with young children and ample outdoor space. I am not in a rush to give him away so I will be very careful and considerate in finding a new owner for him. If you are serious please send me a message or e-mail me at
