About Phyllis
Lapin is a sales representative at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. She’s friendly and quiet, but loves “girl talk” and gossip. And don’t let her motherly demeanor fool you. Phyllis can be very vindictive. Sadly, Phyllis (who suffers from depression) is often insulted and embarrassed by her manager, Michael Scott, who calls her ‘non-feminine’ and ‘older than she looks’ (even though they were classmates in high school). And despite having scoliosis as a child, Phyllis went on to play high school basketball – but only has an alternate player position on the company’s basketball team.
