A Chiweenie is a Chihuahua-Dachshund('Weenie Dog') Mix. To purchase you have to pick him up. We can discuss location. HIS name is Arvel. Arvel was rescued from an abusive and neglective family. He was beaten, and left to rome the streets so I took him in. He is a loving doggy but he takes time to warm up to you (a few weeks to a month). He is going to get neutered and his shots soon, and is friendly with other dogs. He doesn't chew shoes or furniture! Arvel loves to cuddle and when I wake up he is right there to lick me good morning. Because he was so mistreated, he growls randomly, even when he's happy. He sometimes growls when you go to pick him up but he won't bite you, it's a cautious growl because his previous owners would pick him up to throw him, never to give love, so he's just making sure you're not going to hurt him. He will hide if you're holding a broom (I assume it's because somebody beat him with one), just a little tip. He likes having doggy shirts on, he isn't too fond of baths but he will need one around once a month if you don't like that dirty doggy smell! Taking him to a groomer to get bathed is just fine if you don't want to do it yourself. Arvel is a sweet dog, timid for good reasons, but he quickly becomes friendly and loveable! He eats the smaller sized dog food because the bigger sizes are a little hard for him to chew being that he's smaller. He's a size small in collars and outfits. When I take him on walks I use his harness and a leash, and I use his regular collar when he's at home. He gets excited on walks and pulls a lot so he sometimes chokes himself when he is using a collar and not his harness (he's goofy). He's an exceptional pet, the only thing about him that may turn you away is that he isn't potty trained. BUT that is an easily fixable problem!! There are so many solutions (i.e. puppy pads, training courses, potty training teaching methods you can get off the internet). Arvel is approximately 2-4 years old. He is honestly a great dog to have. He's definitely a lap dog!
NOTICE TO BUYER: If you do buy this dog and for some reason don't find you two are compatible, please do NOT get rid of him. I can refund your money, take him back, and find another owner. I would hate for him to end up in the wrong hands. My situation is I can't keep him where I'm living. He isn't allowed here, the only reason I have him is because I couldn't stand him living on the streets and with those horrible people. They were abusive, then they just moved away and left him outside on the street so he just romed around and waited for them to come home. I wanted him to find a nice home so I took him in. You have to like the dog and his behaviors/personalities for it to be a good fit, so it happens sometimes that you and that pet aren't a match. SO PLEASE, if you and Arvel aren't a good match, I will gladly refund your money and take him back to find somebody else. I just want to make sure he ends up in a good home. Thank you so much in advance. I can give you 10 puppy pads, a black mat to lay them on, and a spray for the puppy pads as a starter kit type thing to help you out! Remember, it is important that you are consitant and attentive when it comes to potty-training. If he is in the house you have to yell at him for having accidents. Go to your closest pet store and ask for advice on puppy pad training for help. It shouldn't take very long for him to learn if he hasn't learned fully when you get him! (I'll send a few internet print-outs as help.)
