| | | Bear is a lab/catahoula mix, free to a good home. You can see his catahoula spots (grey on the black) peeking through his coat. He's about two years old and weighs about 45 lbs. We updated him on all his vaccines, including rabies, and all his shots. We've also had him neutered.
He's a rescue dog with the typical lab sweet and loving disposition. We have two dogs of our own and he gets along well with them. We've been crate-training him, so he is housebroken now. He responds well to the "kennel" command and does well alone when we go to work. He also responds well to voice correction. Most importantly, Bear is eager to please, and wants to learn to do what you want him to do.
He tested heartworm positive, but in the early stages and is now under treatment. He should have a long, healthy, happy life. He needs a low-key lifestyle for the next few months to help the treatment work.
