Cork Floating planks consist of a compact, high density fibreboard layer, a bonded surface layer of agglomerated cork and a layer of soft agglomerated cork backing.

The core material (substrate) is tongue and groove with the licensed UNICLIC® flooring system to allow the panels to be assembled without the use of glue.

Cork - A True Sustainable Resource

Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak tree, which grows mainly in the Mediterranean region of the world.

These trees have a lifespan of about 200 years. Each cork tree must be 20 to 25 years old before it can provide its first harvest of cork. After extracting the cork a new layer starts regenerating. Nine years must to pass before the next harvest can take place

The cork oak remains the only tree whose bark can regenerate itself after harvest, leaving the tree unharmed. It is truly, a renewable environmentally friendly resource. A typical tree produces several hundred kilograms of cork at each harvesting and will survive for many generations. The cork harvesting is made in a sustainable manner and does not harm the tree which is never cut down or removed.
