Today’s dominant agricultural methods rely on synthetic fertilizers, chemical pesticides, large amounts of energy and water, major transportation systems, poor waste disposal and factory-style practices for raising livestock and crops. Artificial hormones, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, mad cow disease, and large-scale outbreaks of potentially deadly E.coli are all associated with this industrial form of food production. "100% grass-fed" means animals are free to wander around spacious green pastures for their entire lives. In contrast to corn-fed animals in feedlots, animals that exercise by walking around grazing green grass produce much cleaner and nutrient-rich meat. For example, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb do not require antibiotics to survive and rarely get sick. In contrast, Mad Cow and E. coli are entirely feedlot produced disasters. Remember, cattle and sheep that are "grass-fed" initially, but finished on grain lose these benefits. Don't settle for less than 100%.
