"100% grass-fed" means animals are free to wander around spacious green pastures for their entire lives. In contrast to corn-fed animals in feedlots, animals that exercise by walking around grazing green grass produce much cleaner and nutrient-rich meat. For example, 100% grass-fed beef and lamb do not require antibiotics to survive and rarely get sick. In contrast, Mad Cow and E. coli are entirely feedlot produced disasters. Recent USDA studies verify that 100% grass-fed meat has:
Half the fat and cholesterol of corn/grain-finished meat: of that fat 41% is mono-unsaturated (like olive oil)
CLAs which are considered among the strongest anti-oxidants in nature
Omega-3s and an almost four times better ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids

Remember, cattle and sheep that are "grass-fed" initially, but finished on grain lose these benefits. Don't settle for less than 100%.
