Gibson Les Paul Standard -Heritage 80 Elite Guitar For Sale
It is a copy of a '59 Les Paul Standard, quilted maple top, mahogony body and neck, ebony fret board with trapezoid pearl inlays, chrome (gun metal appearance) hardware, and exceptional sunburst finish. Catalog notes the guitar has the distinctive "Heritage Series. Standard - 80 Elite" imprinted truss rod cover.
The guitar is the perfect weight at 9.6 lbs.
Everything on the guitar is 100% Original (body, hardware, frets, tuners, electronics, pots, pickups, Heritage 80 Elite truss rod cover, capacitors, etc.). The guitar had the typical Les Paul headstock crack, but fortunately it was very small and was repaired (professionally reglued and refinished) by the famous & exceptional vintage luthier specialists at Lay's Guitar Shop in Akron, Ohio. See Photo #11 for a close-up of the repaired area. This is actually difficult to see & feel unless you are looking really close under the right light conditions. Low book value on a Heritage 80 Elite is $3,500 and high is $4,200 according to the 2011 Vintage Guitar Buyer's Guide.
The tone is absolutely exceptional - the closest you will get to a 1959 Les Paul Standard. The neck is straight and these are the original frets (with plenty of life left).
