Ottowa, Ontario – Sundream Holidays is teaching kids that fiscal responsibility is an attitude that is not just reserved for grown-ups. While other kids are learning video games or watching TV, Sundream Holidays is helping to give kids a crash course on finance. “The goal is to show students that you’re never too young to start thinking about the future,” says Jim Lotoski, Regional Manager of Sundream Holidays, “These kids will be bombarded with credit card applications once they reach college. We as a society have the responsibility to show what the world of credit is all about before they make mistakes.”
The program, put on by Kredit for Kids, is an afterschool seminar held in Ottawa’s Canotek Business Park. A number of high schools in the area have access to the program, which primarily concentrates on educating juniors and seniors.
Sundream Holidays is the primary funder for the current Kredit for Kids activities, as they finance all the needed materials and supplies and even signs over a $50 mutual fund to each graduate of the program.
