Introduction
The Indigo Dream Inc. was created in 2011 to teach young adults the life skills required to thrive personally and professionally when living independently. The program is intended to be incorporated into the daily routine of area high school students. The program will be supplemented by a team of volunteer mentors who are paired with students, faculity, and members of the community to hold meetings on each topic over the course of a school year.
The name The Indigo Dream Inc. refers to the color Indigo while once a primary color, over time it was however left behind.The Dream, derives from the goals and ambitions of todays youth to make their tomorrows a better place. Together this organization wishes to ensure that the dreams of todays youth never get left behind.
We are seeking funds in order to continue with the activities and events that take place within our organization and give us the ability to reach out to and take on more children who wish to be involved. Our goal is to provide an outlet for at risk and disabled children that will help them to focus their energies on positive things and discover their own strengths and talents while building their self esteem and teaching them the social skills that they need to learn at this point in their lives that will better their futures. Some of the activities we undertake are community cleanups, fishing, band, camping trips, arts an crafts projects, building projects, clothing drives food drives and a community garden.
Success is defined as "the achievement of something desired planned or attempted".
To this organization success will be to brighten and better the future of as many children as we can possibly reach
