Hull Pottery was founded as the A. E. Hull Pottery Company in Crooksville, Ohio, in 1905, by Addis Emmet Hull. Due to the pottery’s popularity, Hull soon expanded to include two potteries in 1907 when the company bought the Acme Pottery Company, also in Crooksville. This acquisition brought Hull’s workforce numbers up to an impressive 400 total. The Bow-Knot line of pottery was produced by the Hull Pottery Company Zanesville, Ohio prior to 1950. This pink, yellow and blue Bow-Knot Basket is marked on the bottom with “U.S.A., Hull Art, B-12-10 1/2.” There are some stains on the inside at the bottom, probably due to usage, but it is still a beautiful piece. Hull’s pottery is still immensely popular, and is a highly prized collector’s item. Approx. size: 10 1/2” w X 12” h: weight: 2 lb and 14 ozs.
