Welcome to our journey of fun and game. NAPA – North American Poolshooters Association is relatively new to all of us. Just now branching out across the country we are first in Canyon County. This will be a learning experience for us all as we get used to the rules as set up by the NAPA. Feel free to ask us any questions, if we do not have the answer, we will find it. Your patience is appreciated as we work out any kinks that develop.
It is important to remember, this league is meant to be fun and has “Code of Conduct Policies” that will have to be followed to maintain membership.

*****“The North American Poolshooters Association (NAPA) is the managing body of NAPA pool leagues throughout the United States and Canada. The focus of the NAPA is to provide a unique and competitive playing ground for pool shooters across North America.
HISTORY
The NAPA was founded in 2009 and is now the fastest growing pool league in the United States and Canada.
NO ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
The NAPA does not charge an annual membership to NAPA players. Once a player plays their first NAPA sanctioned match they immediately become a lifetime member of the NAPA.
CASH AND TROPHIES
Rewarding our players is a key focus in the NAPA. The NAPA provides a unique cash payout program and pays out cash prizes to its players at the end of every session. Cash prizes are determined by the number of players in the local area and the size of the local division.
PLAYER STATS AND DATA
The NAPA maintains detailed stats on every game played for the lifetime of the player. Every NAPA player has a profile page on the NAPA web site and can view their stats online at anytime. Player stats are updated every 48 hours. Some examples of stats that are stored are overall match record, win percentage, success rate against women, success rate against men, average points per match, break and runs, shutouts, and much more!”*****
The NAPA 8-ball format is a “call your pocket” league. Now, about what we are doing. As we begin, we will only be running 4-man teams. Cost to play will be $8 per player who is shooting that night, plus your own quarters (Joe from team A pays ½ table, Tim from team B pays ½ table). HALF of your $8 play fee will be distributed as PRIZE MONEY at the end of the session. There will also be a one time per session $10 per person entry fee. Of this fee 50% will also go towards the “Prize Pot”. Through our players input we will decide
if we will do “trophies”, “prizes”, etc or if we just do CASH WINNINGS, so you’ll need to watch your Team Packets for that voting information.
At this time, we are setting up teams only to verify interest, there are NO FEE’S DUE Now, so get together with your friends, family, co-workers and get your Team put together now. You can have 4 regular players and 2 alternates, so think big.
Provided we have enough teams, there will need to be at least 8(eight) 4-man teams, we are looking at beginning the last week of January, 2012. What nights we play will be determined as we get our play locations worked out as well as by your input. Please let me know which night would work best for your team. If there is substantial interest, it may be possible to have more than one night available. Example: A Tuesday League and a Sunday Daytime. There is potential as we grow to have 3, 4 &/or 5 man teams as well as 8, 9 & 10 ball, this too will depend on interest so share your thoughts.
