The heater comes in a box shaped black cabinet with a wood grain finish giving it the look of a small end table worthy of setting a small item or two
on the unit. The unit runs quieter than past units which gave off a constant humming sound during operation. The unit heats up fairly quickly but the heat
is not progressive. What you get is a constant temperature that heats 1000 square feet of space in an adequate manner. The heat distribution remains
stable as the unit works from use to use. This unit now comes with a five year warranty increased from three years on previous models. It has a removable
filter that can be washed with a mild cleaning solution and replaced for better long term operation. The heaters are light weight and portable so you can take
them from room to room where ever you need to use them. It is not recommended that you use these units with an extension cord. They are designed to be
a stand alone unit plugged into a grounded outlet. Consumer reviews have been mixed with some claiming that for the price the unit does not give off enough
heat, while others have felt the product is reliable and heats adequately.
