I have an older breeding stallion that needs to be retired to a warmer climate. The harsh NW winters are getting to harsh on him..He broke his leg as a 2 year old and now has arthritis in that leg. He is 20 years old. He is still breedable with help, I just dont have the market here where he currently lives...You wont BELIEVE his bloodlines... He has not real health issues to speak of, has yearly bloodwork drawn and checked, is current on vaccines and deworming. When it gets cold cold here, I do supplement him with Bute....He stalls well, not a cribber nor chewer. You really do not realize he is a stallion..He respects fencing and enjoys a pasture right next to the mares and geldings with no problems.
