Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is a Nintendo DS remake of Japan's original Famicom console Fire Emblem game, set in the swords-and-sorcery fantasy land of Archanea. Through dual-screen display and touch-screen controls, players follow the adventure of a brave young prince in exile, and lead a small team of heroes in turn-based battles of magic and metal across grid-lined battlefields. Different characters of different classes have different strengths and weaknesses in their speed, attacks, and defense, leading to fresh and engaging tactical considerations in each new battle. Shadow Dragon is the first Fire Emblem game for DS, and includes tutorial levels and additional content that adds depth to the characters and settings of the original game's story. It is also the first Fire Emblem game to support online multiplayer combat, through a DS wireless connection to broadband Internet.
