Data East Arcade Classics is a collection of 15 golden-age coin-op games, converted for play on Wii. The games can be played using either the motion controls of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or a more traditional control scheme with the Classic Controller or a GameCube gamepad. Featured games include the coin-op classic BurgerTime and its sequel, Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory, the beat-'em-up Bad Dudes, Burnin' Rubber, Caveman Ninja, Japan's Crude Buster, the train-hopping Express Raider, the classic run-and-gun original Heavy Barrel, Lock 'N' Chase, Magical Drop III, Secret Agent, Side Pocket, Street Hoop, SRD: Super Real Darwin, and the action-RPG Wizard Fire.
Progress through any game can be saved for later play, and all games support a two-player mode, for cooperative or competitive same-screen action. Earning high scores and other achievements unlock bonus items, such as game soundtracks and arcade machine art. Players can link their achievements to their favorite Mii characters. ~ T.J.
