1960's Hippie Clothing
The 1960’s hippie clothing have influenced many people. The hippy culture and the hippy clothing are a part of our lifestyle in some ways. The hippie culture began in the 1960s and started as a youth movement in the United States. A fun thing to do as a young teenager was to try to make hippy clothing at home! The Hippie culture, making a statement of independance, hippies tried to free themselves from social restriction. They always wanted to find their own meaning of life. The hippy clothing therefore reflects the kind of independance thinking through styles and cuts of the fabrics. Gorgeous and groovy in Pink!
Wild Pink Flower Power! The Flower Power Hippie costume is a groovy retro style costume. Hippies dressed in clothing with embroidered flowers and loud vibrant colors. They wore flowers in their hair, and handed out flowers to the public. This is how they become known as flower children. Flower Power became a term later associated with the hippie movement and a culture of drugs, psychedelic music and art and social permissiveness.
