"Just a Dream" is a song by Nelly from his sixth studio album 5.0. The R&B/hip hop was written by Rico Love and produced by Jim Jonsin. It was released by Derrty Entertainment and Universal Records alongside another single, "Tippin' in da Club" on August 17, 2010. Nelly announced that the album would be titled Nelly 5.0. The title was inspired by his 2011 Ford Mustang, which also will be on the album artwork. He said, "It's a lot of things, It's also my fifth drop date, It's just the energy of it all, 5.0 was always one of my dream cars. In a interview with Semtex TV, Nelly told reporters that he planned to release the album under the name Nelly. In April 2010, Nelly's cousin Michael Johnson was murdered in Missouri, Nelly said that he delayed releasing the album because of this. Nelly said that guests that were going to be featured on the album were: Janet Jackson, Diddy, Akon, St. Lunatics and Usher. In May 2010, Nelly confirmed that the title of the album was Nelly 5.0.
