Eastern Europe is an area that is filled with legends and mystery. The people there have a love of music, folklore, arts and crafts. But when you take a tour of a country that keeps you in the tourist areas, you never get to really see the people. With the European East Pass from Rail Europe, you can change that. You can take the train through the countryside of Eastern Europe and get a genuine experience of what life is really like for the people that live there.
The European East Pass offers you a glimpse in to the local populations of Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia. All of these countries are opening up their doors to visitors and while you will be able to see the home of Mozart and the caves of Slovakia, you will also be able to meet the people who live beyond the city limits and still work the land of the forefathers.
With the Eastern Europe Pass you will get unlimited first or second class rail service on the railway lines in Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. The pass is good for five days of travel within a one month timeframe that does not have to be used consecutively. An additional five days may be purchased on the pass. The pass is valid on trains that run through Germany between Salzburg and Kufstein as long as the passenger is not leaving the train or making a train change.
