If you love all things science then you and your children will love the New York Hall of Science. This unique hands on technology and science center will keep you intrigued and entertained for hours while learning about the many different aspects of science, including a zoo of microbes, an exhibit that uses the body's natural electricity to make music and a room where people look as if they have grown or shrunk. From March through December the 30,000 square foot Science Playground is open and children of all ages can laugh and have fun as they make their way through this intriguing exhibit.
One of the biggest attractions at the New York Hall of Science is the Rocket Park. The park offers visitors the chance to explore the many different rockets and space vehicles that helped launch America's space race between 1964 and 1965. The exhibit includes the Gemini Titan II, the Mercury-Atlas D rocket and the Saturn VF-1 engine, the current vehicle used to launch the Space Shuttle. There is also a timeline chronicling the mission to put man on the moon and the replica of the Mercury capsule, the first spacecraft ever built in the United States.
