These fully chrome plated excellent quality Brand New Unused Winchester Branded Toolmakers Hammers duplicate as closely as possible the Starrett 815, which is unique in combining a dual head toolmaker/jeweler hammer with an embedded shock mounted magnifying lens. This tool is invaluable if you are working with fine items where you need to have a punch mark for drilling, but need to locate the punch with a magnifying glass before making the hammer strike. Saves lots of time, looks good, being chrome plated on all surfaces, with hardened hammer faces. These Winchester-Branded hammers, we suspect, were likely bought from Starrett or imported from one of their suppliers to be used as presentation pieces or signature gear for customers of the Winchester Company.
