This Black Box RS-232 Fallback Switch (FBS) is designed to keep leased-line failures from costing you time and money. As soon as the RS-232 Fallback Switch detects a lapse in the primary line, it switches your system to a backup line. Once it detects that the failed signal is restored, it immediately switches back to the primary line. This switch can support data rates as high as your RS-232 line can handle.
