Many parents like me can attest to living in fear of the 2 A.M. "wake up call." Will you creep into your child's room only to find the crib, the walls, the floor and the ceiling covered in poop? If you don't have good diapers on the job, it can happen to you, too! The Nasty Nappy Territory - Bring You Poop Shields! Lucky for me, my husband was the one to experience the first "poop explosion" at our house! I was catching up on sleep and it was my husband's turn to answer any midnight alarm calls. When he heard our son crying, he went over to his room to see what was going on. Hoping to not disrupt our son more than necessary, my husband turned on a night light and prepared to change our baby's diapers. He lifted my son onto the changing table and removed his diaper. He snagged a new diaper out of the diaper basket and prepared to fasten it into place on our son's bototm. Noticing a little poop, he decided to give the bottom a quick wipe. Then, before he realized what was going on, my son coated my beloved in poop all the way up to my hubby's forearm. If he had known it was coming, maybe a diaper could have protected him! Getting Ready For MoreAfter trying a number of different brands of diapers with my son, we found that there was definitely variation in how they fit. More than just a good fit, we wanted something that could catch all the poop he could excrete, without leaking. We found our best luck with Huggies Supreme Diapers. The Huggies had excellent absorbancy and strong enough elastic around the leg openings that no poop leaked out. The Huggies leak lock system seemed to actually do its job.Poop Engagement - The True Test Of The Huggies SupremesSo, we were using our box of Huggies Supreme Diapers and we wanted to ptu them to the test. Baby Brian was six months old when he tried to test our diaper choice. {The magic? His first sample of prune juice!|I guess I should admit to triggering the episode - I gave him his first taste of prune juice!|He had attempted prune juice for the 1st time. Inside 4 hours I could smell something acrid coming from his diaper. "This will be the true test," I thought! After getting Brian settled on the changing table, I opened his diaper. From past experience, I was braced for a poopy mess all over his shirt and pants.I had been fully expecting to see feces inside his clothes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the mess well contained to the diaper. The majority of it had soaked into the LeakLock area and with a few wipes my boy was as good as ever. Is the Diaper War Over? I can't guarantee your experience will be the same as mine, but I have been verry pleased with the Huggies Supreme Diapers. We have faced many other poopy diapers since we first put the Huggies to the test The Huggies dipes do the job consistently, and rarely do we have any kind of leaks or messes. If a leak occurs, it's usually due to the fact that we hadn't changed the diaper in a while and it was already pretty full of pee. Now that we have moved to potty training, i know i will continue to trust the Huggies brand with their Pull Ups coaching Pants because they use the same technology as the Huggies Supreme Diapers. If you're wrestling your way through the diaper wars, try as many kinds of diapers as you can. I think you'll notice a difference, but depending on your baby and his diaper habits, you can see if Huggies Supreme diapers are the winner for you or not!As you can see, I have been very pleased with the Huggies Supremes line of diapers, but it may not be right for you. Huggies diapers have a lot of different brands and sizes to choose from. I would suggest trying Huggies if you're still looking for the right diaper for you.
