2003 Honda Element EX , with 82,000 miles for sale $6625.00
Purchased in March of 2005, while living in Texas, with 17,XXX miles for $13,500.00
It has luggage rack, running boards, sunroof, tow package. The motor is a 220 V-Tech engine: 4 cylinder requiring 5/20 oil.
It is wired for a “Subwoofer” in the back. The cord is located in the spare tire cargo area.
I have the radio reset code in the event the battery goes dead, or is unhooked for any reason. This is a safety feature on the CD player/radio.
There are two keys to the Element: both unlock doors, only one is programmed to start the ignition.
The tires are under warranty with Discount Tire, a franchised tire outlet. (Springfield, Il is, I believe, the closest Discount Tire outlet…)
We are the second owners.
The professional couple owning the vehicle had previously owned a car dealership in Kentucky/Texas. The Honda has a clean ready to go Texas “Rebuilt” title.
Currently, the Element needs or has the following: since moving back to Missouri we have not been close to a Honda dealership.
1. A/C Clutch needs replaced. Made a small noise toward end of summer season, air still works fine (approx. $150 part plus labor so say’s Auto zone)
2. Driver door key/lock needs fixed. (It is possibly “stripped” from a badly cut key, and I am told this is an easy fix.)
3. There are a three small rock chips in the paint on the edge of the hood. Normal wear.
4. There is a minor hairline crack in the plastic overhang of the left rear bumper, noticeable upon close inspection.
5. The rear hatch Honda emblem was stolen recently while at a wine festival. Some darned kid..???
6. Slight wear spot on driver side seat from getting in and out..
LISTING PRICE $6,625.00 similar autos going for $7,600 (on the lowest end )- $10,500. Loan valued/ bank financing ... my car salesman friend said up to $9,000.00 plus.
We have looked at bluebook and researched comparable Element EX’s… The above needs/condition/and repairs needed were deducted and more than factored into our price.
The Element has been a great auto. It is All-Wheel drive, so can go just about anywhere! The vehicle was in Texas,.. so no snow or salt. Driving in heavy traffic is a breeze with the quick response… It sounds smooth, drives straight, and is super solid. The back seats fold up for more room than one would imagine… our ONLY reason for selling, is we simply need MORE room!!! for another car seat due to baby on the way!!!! Hip fun SUV days.. good bye … Hello grocery getting minivan!!!
Due to the large cargo space created when rear seats are flat and clipped to the sides, this could easily be used for deliveries: floral, cake, pharmacy... No carpet means easy cleanup! Also, with winter fast approaching, the AWD means a safer trip for you and/or your family.
Any questions feel free to ask,
jay and Kristy
