Obverse: a finely ribbed central area with bead surround, with the royal crown superimposed. As the name implies, there is a crown on a blue enamel background in the center. It came out of a local estate with several other fine medals. The only letter markings are on the ring intended to hold the ribbon and it appears to be two letters .... 'AR'. This medal measures about 3 " in overall length (end of ring to end of medal) and 1 5/8 " in width. It weighs about 32.7 grams. I believe it to made of silver.
