This token is struck in bronze and it has a diameter of 33mm. It is a Canadian 1 Penny Token dated 1814 and in circulated condition. The obverse depicts a seated female with the legend, "TRADE & NAVIGATION", and the date 1814 in exergue. The reverse has the legend, "PURE COPPER PREFERABLE TO PAPER", around the denomination at center.
