JOHN WAYNE petitioned Marion McDaniel Lodge #56 F&AM, Tucson, AZ, on June 1, 1970 and was elected to receive the Degrees of Masonry on July 6, 1970. He was Initiated on July 9, 1970; Passed on July 10, 1970; and Raised July 11, 1970. He returned his MM proficiency on August 27, 1970.
To mark the 50th Anniversary of Marion McDaniel Lodge #56 F&AM, "The Duke's Lodge", a 2 3/16" MINT PROOF, NICKEL SILVER AND 18kt GOLD plated coin was commissioned to commemorate the event. There are now and will only ever be 50 total of these coins. When the 50 coins are gone, that's all there is.
Each of these coins weighs 3.2 ounces and comes in its own plastic protective case which can be opened.
The obverse is elaborately designed and shows the Charter date, the Charter Master and the 50th Master. The reverse displays each of the other 48 Past Masters of the Lodge. The photos of this coin do not do it justice. The coin is as shiny gold and silver as you would expect gold and silver to be.
