First of all I got the DSI in a timely fashion and it was fast which is why I love buying stuff from Amazon. I like everything about this Nintendo except I cannot get the internet to work and I have tried everything that the manual says. If I can't get the internet to work that's alright because everything else works fine. I love this video console and it is my very first one so overall I am very happy with it. Next time I go somewhere I will take it with me and see if it works there but it sucks because I want it to work here at home and not somewhere else.

"Mostly Good Enhancement for Nintendo DS"2009-10-26

The new DSi is a nice enhancement over the DS lite.
I like it a lot, the new buttons have a definite "click" to them, you can feel when you send a command.
New software will soon reveal the improvements in processor power? Not at this moment, but soon.
Cameras are a nice touch. Have not tried web browsing, but I hear it's well done.
The only thing I don't like is the replacement of digital "up / down" buttons for the volume of the output... (the analogue slider on DS Lite was better)
That and the "region coding"... If we are willing to pay the (higher) price for Japanese carts, shouldn't we be able to use them?

My son lost his Nintendo DS lite at a family reunion far away from home, and in spite of hours of looking we couldn't find it, so when his birthday came along we decided to get him a new one and picked this upgraded version. He loves the DSi - since it allows him to play all of his old games, and also allows him to go to some of his favorite sites on the internet. One thing that has frustrated him is that many sites he likes use Flash and the web browser for the Nintendo DSi (Opera) can't do flash. So he can't watch videos or go to many of the sites he likes. Still, he can share photos, check email and check the weather (which he likes to do) and many other things, in addition to taking photos (not very good quality, but he likes them), and playing games. He also really likes the voice recorder, that records pretty decent quality voice sound and then allows him to "mash and mix" it up, with various sound effects. He likes it a lot, and the internet capability means that he doesn't need to share as much time on the family computer, which we like a lot. It's a handy little toy - effectively a hand held computer, with some very cool games. Works great, fun to play with, lots of uses. What's not to like?
