Indian head cent, dated 1877, the key date for the series. The grade is Good to Very Good, but with some mild porosity. The date is very clear.

THE GOOD NEWS: Nice Looking Better Grade & Date Coin. This is the much harder to find 1864 coin with the "L" on the ribbon. Nice Color, Full Sharp Bold LIBERTY. Bold rims, Full Date, Nice Feather detail is showing, and lots of detail in the leaves on the reverse. NOTE: Many of the early Indians have weak Feather & Diamond Design details because the coins were weakly struck.
THE BAD NEWS: Lightly dipped or cleaned long ago. It's not all scratched up from this, but if you look at just the right angle in just the right lighting I can see a few hairlines. It's so slight that I think many people would even miss this. Sounds worse than it is because overall this is still a nice looking coin.
