PART-TIME and FULL-TIME work with Arc BRIDGES
For people interested in working with Developmentally Disabled Adults who live in community-based group homes or live in homes with their families. Hours vary on weekends, overnights, evenings or weekdays. The starting pay is $8.44 an hour. There is plenty of room for advancement and increase in hours. Arc BRIDGES has work locations in the Northwest Indiana area. We provide training and on the job support for new staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Twenty-one years of age or older
•High school graduate or GED
•Current Indiana drivers license, insurable driving record and reliable transportation.
•Ability to work evenings, weekends, overnights and early morning hours
•Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
•Demonstrated ability to relate to and an interest in enhancing the lives of individuals with mental retardation.
•Life experience to live with others in a supportive manner and to perform household and professional responsibilities.
•Traits of maturity, dependability, flexibility, resourcefulness, willingness to give of oneself, and ability to respect persons with developmental disabilities.
