It is from the estate of the late Hal Birt. Profusely illustrated throughout, this massive book lists the extrordinary complete collection of Coins, Proclamation Medals, Medals, Counterstamped Coins and Patterns of Jules Fonrobert from Mexico, Central America and South America. This informative book measures approximately 6 1/4" x 9 1/4" with 1164 profusely illustrated pages. The Foreword is written in English, with very easy to follow instructions on how to follow this German Printed book. Diameters are given in millimeters, weights are in grams, Metals are: G=Gold; S=Silver; K=Copper; Br=Bronze; GelbK=Gilt Copper and there are four Grades of preservation. It is in great condition with NO mentionable defects (See photo) just typical light handling. It is a must have reference book for collectors of Coins and Medals from Mexico, Central America and South America.

Terrific 1963 Printing of "A Guide Book of Mexican Decimal Coins 1863 - 1963" by Theodore V. Buttrey, Jr. This 122 page hardcover book was published by Whitman Publishing Co. of Racine Wisconsin. It is a comprehensive illustrated valuation catalog of Mexican Decimal Coins with Official Reports of Coinage and Historical Notes about each issue. This book is in nice shape with some light areas of scuffing and discoloration on the cover but overall in fine condition. In English, but with Spanish translations of the text sections later in the volume. Moderately well-illustarted via quality halftones. About half the book is a then-current price guide, with useful checkboxes next to the coin description to use as a checklist. Includes some useful information not conveniently covered elsewhere.
