from the first moment I put these shoes on, I felt the difference. I had been having trouble with my back and that has steadily improved since I've been wearing these shoes. I don't say they cured me, but they make me walk better and are very comfortable. I forget I have shoes on - and I've always liked barefoot best. I would recommend these shoes for everyone.

The thing about this sandal is that not only is it extremely comfortable on the foot it REALLY helped my back. I guess it is the structure of the shoe and it gets you higher off the floor, which if you stand quite a bit during the day, can play havoc with your back.
Since it is winter I need to look for one that is not a thong and so far there is not much selection. Get moving FitFlop and make some more styles.

This is my 3rd pair!! Absolutely love them...great support for 3 season wear for a WALKER! Initially, I ordered up a half size...3rd pair I ordered down a half size...much better. Colors and styles all great...hard to choose which one to order!

My girl friend told me about these sandals which she said helped her with her bad knees so I gave them a try. I inflamed my sesamoid bone in my foot back in March due to walking down a steep cement driveway in high heels. Long story short, nothing worked so instead of getting surgery to cut the bone out, the doc put my foot and calf into a hard cast and gave me crutches for a month. I lost calf muscle and my ankle was very tight when I got the cast off. Through massage and just floor exercises, I was strengthening my muscles again. But I wanted to get out of the soft walking cast and into a pair of shoes that matched so I could start re-training my body to walk normal again and not have a limp in my gait forever.
So I got a pair of the walkstar IIIs in all black so I could try to still be fashionable and wear them to work and for fun. They were so comfy. I first used them to walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night, then around the house after a day in the walking cast/running shoe combo. Two weeks later, I went on a trip to FL and once I landed there and I puffed up from the humidity, I just LIVED in these shoes for the whole week. I wasn't tired at all and I didn't limp at all either! I wore out my friend I went to see. We went shopping all day one day, standing for hours at a time and by night, I was still full of energy and ready to rock while my friend was pooped and passed out for night. I love these shoes! I can't wait to get a pair in brown.
I tried the other styles on but this was my favorite because of the patent leather straps vs. the fabric bands. These straps felt more comfy and cushy than the fabric ones. I had read lots of reviews before going out to find my pair so I was aware to make sure the straps felt comfy right when I put them on since the straps don't stretch at all. I can't say my sesamoiditis inflamed bone under the padding of my big toe is cured due to the cast or these sandals, BUT I can say that these sandals are the first pair of shoes that I have been able to wear and they are responsible for my entrance back into normal walking and exercising again. Thank you so much! I tell all my girl friends, some who don't even have foot issues, to get a pair of these cause they are the BEST sandals I've ever owned.

Until FitFlop offers an adjustable version or a narrow option, I will not be a FitFlop owner. I like the feel of the foot bed, but I have narrow feet. These sandals just fly off when I walk. I gave them to my sister. She likes them.
