If you are on oxygen, the Inogen One is a device that can make life easier. It is designed to be one solution for home, away and travel,
for today and tomorrow. Inogen built an oxygen concentrator that redefines how oxygen therapy is delivered. Described by industry experts as "a technological breakthrough", the Inogen One is a complete departure from current mainstream technologies - both the standard large, bulky, stationary concentrator systems and the inefficient and impractical portable devices. Working with experts in PSA and conserver technology, Inogen's engineers developed, tested and delivered a technology that eliminates the need to choose between a stationary or portable oxygen system. If you haven't seen the Inogen One, you haven't seen anything like it.

It so quiet you can't tell it's in the room and at 9-lbs it's something you can just pick up and carry from room to room. Traveling is easier than ever. It looks "stealth" in it's bag and travel cart. Bystanders
won't even know if it's turned on.

Inogen even redesigned the cannula hose to make it as quiet as possible. Seeing is believing!

Optional: Inogen One Satellite Conserver

If you are going to be using more than the 7' cannula, you'll need the Satellite Conserver. It allows remote use of the Inogen One concentrator up to 100 feet from unit. The conserver uses one standard “C” battery, battery duration 4 weeks or more when used 8 hours per day. This conserver is about the size of a pack of cigarettes and weighs 10 ounces. It can be clipped to a belt or carried in a pocket. The Inogen One Satellite Conserver has 5 flow settings. The Inogen conserver delivers a fixed amount of oxygen each minute. When the 20 bpm user sets Inogen to 2, the user receives pulses of 15 ml. The slower breather receives proportionally larger and the rapid breather, proportional smaller pulses, so that everyone at setting 2 receives the same amount each minute.

Flow Setting Selection Relative To Your Physician's Prescription:

Inogen has labeled each of the five settings (1-5) to provide a
guideline for matching the setting of the device to the continuous flow
oxygen prescription issued by the physician. Actual correlation is
dependent upon the patient’s breathing rates, inspiratory tidal volume,
and other physiologic factors.

In addition to keeping track of system diagnostics, the Inogen also
accumulates and reports on the breathing rate and user flow settings.
This information is accumulated for two or three months, after which it
is overwritten.

Battery Time Remaining Clock:

The Inogen One continuously displays battery time remaining

The Inogen Operates In One Of Three Modes:

1) Default Mode w/o audio alert. A green light flashes when a breath is
detected. If more than 30 seconds elapses between breaths, the
indicator flashes yellow. Other alerts cause the indicator to flash
red. When the indicator is green there is no message displayed in the
text display. When the indicator flashes yellow or red, an appropriate
message appears in the text display.

2) Default Mode w/audio alert. A yellow flashing indicator is
accompanied by three audible beeps every 25 seconds. A red flashing
indicator is accompanied by five audible beeps every 10 seconds.

3) Sensitive Mode. The conserver operates with increased sensitivity to your breathing. Audible alerts are disabled.

Features:

  • Satellite Conserver (Optional) allows for up to 100 feet of added mobility around the home as an accessory for the Inogen One.
  • The Inogen One can be used away from home as a portable oxygen source.
  • The System includes a cart and carry bag for easy mobility.
  • The Inogen One comes with the Inogen One Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery, which has a long battery life of up to 3 hours.
  • When traveling, The Inogen One can be powered by battery or by plugging the Inogen One Mobile Power Charger into a DC outlet.
This week more than 1,500 people needed oxygen therapy for the first time.
These new patients do not know anything about oxygen therapy; they know nothing of cylinders, of concentrators, of liquid oxygen. They do not think daily about the home healthcare market, about HME providers, about reimbursement codes. All they know is that their life has changed and they now need to have a supply of oxygen with them whenever and wherever they are, home or away.
And the baby boomers, a generation that demands more and "better" in everything, are on the horizon. Knowledgeable and demanding consumers, their expectations for products and services are significantly higher than the generation before them. The baby boomer oxygen patients symbolize the changing face of the oxygen industry, and their arrival brings both opportunities and challenges.
These challenges coincide with changes in government reimbursement policies, increasing operating costs, aging equipment and outmoded delivery systems- adding to the complexity of the oxygen provider's business. In an increasingly competitive marketplace characterized by rising heath care costs and an uncertain healthcare climate, the world of the HME provider has never demanded more solutions.
