Mendota ( 7-2 ) will host Elgin St. The Trojans could see Morris in the second round. The Clippers have been in Class 3A in recent years. Bureau Valley and A/L could meet in the quarterfinals.

I hope that the IHSA does not go through with this proposal (found it interestingly buried in the proposals and the Tribune was the first to report it, with the tip off came from Kevin on this blog...good for Kevin but not sure who reads IHSA proposals on a regular basis and glad he did). It's also odd where they are hosting the Town Meetings as it seems the Chicago area would have more here based on population. But I suspect this is part of the whole downstate approach to "geographic representation" which is a cornerstone of the USSR, sorry I mean, IHSA. There was thought of a proposal to start busing students from Chicagoland to schools downstate in order to even things out also. But they didn't want the additional traffic screwing up their one stoplight timing.
