I bet that if you are a novice to "Internet Marketing" that you have earned nothing of any significance for your labours thus far.
Why?
Because your initial attempt at building a web site, writing an article or two and posting them on article directories, doing some social bookmarking and all number of attempts at free traffic;
#
although exciting as it is to the novice article marketer, it is not nearly enough, and you were not told of the mass volume of articles, bookmarking and advertising that is required to attract traffic to your site.
Am I wrong?
#
Offers of free traffic and useful tools for the novice "internet marketer", only to find its only free to go on their site, to then buy into the free traffic, or other product.
All this is diverting your attention away from your main task, which is to:-
Unsubscribe. Yes, when you feel you have enough information for your "online income" library of different techniques. Unsubscribe from the masses of well wishing guru's and re-focus on your project.
#
Re-focus on your initial task, write at least 20 to 30 articles then submit them to the directories.
Plan your workload, do not over stretch your time by working until midnight and every chance you get to occupy the computer. Again, not easy with a growing family all vying for computer time.
My list of tips:-
1.Whatever project you embark on, after your initial
investigations and information gathering.
Stay tuned in to your project.
2. Focus on your business plan. You must have a Plan its the only way forward. The Guru's work to one,
They advise their students to work to a plan. You should have your own business plan and focus on that.
3. Remove distractions, i.e. the multitude of e.mails from Guru's continually trying to sell you thier own new products,
time saving tools. or article gismos. Your own Articles will be the best.
4. Like any job or business arrange your time so that you have Quality time at your tasks.
5.Educate yourself through forums , articles , e.books ect. There is plenty of free advice on the
internet for new marketers.
6.As you progress you may need expert advice. That's when you have to pay for a Mentor.
When you begin to make money use it to educate youself and buy better tools for your
business. Basically Invest in yourself.
7.If you progress to using a Mentor, Do your homework, research , find the best person for your particular business.
Submit questions to forums and blogs to get information and comendations
before you spend . Mentors and their systems are expensive. Success with them does not come cheep.
But they do have the experience to make your business bigger and better.
Imagine working from the comfort of your own home. Choosing your own working hours.
Working at your own pace. No one to dictate or boss you. More time for your family and friends.
Great. But do not lose FOCUS. You are a business person with the resposibility to
improve your lot.
Pick everybody's brains for infomation on internet products. Remember friends can also be
customers and most likely already buy from the internet, pick their brains too.
