1986 CHEVY CORVETTE HAS A LITTLE OVER 82,000 MILES. OWNER STILL DRIVE IT, SO THE EXACT NUMBER WILL CHANGE. THE CAR WAS BOUGHT OFF OF AN RETIRED FELLOW AND IT HAD SAT IN HIS GARAGE FOR A SEVERAL YEARS WITH OUT BEING DRIVEN OR CARED FOR.
5.7L 350 cid with 700r4 automatic transmission
It has 4 new tires, complete tune-up, oil change, trans service, fuel filter, belt tensioner, battery. The car is Delaware state tagged and registered until August 2010. It did have replaced before it was parked a new rack and pinion, front brakes and exhaust. The seats were re-covered using original pattern and material.
The valves do ping a little bit when the pedal is floored. Owner is not sure if it is because it still has old gas in it, or the timing is off. It has gotten better since owner has been driving it and putting good gas in it. The radio works when it wants and the power antenna does not go up or down. The A/C blows air, but not very cold.
The car runs and drives really well. owner average about 24mpg on the highway. The car tracks down the road straight, but the steering wheel is slightly off. The front bumper has some parking lot bumps. The car looks like it had been re-painted at some point, but the man owner bought it from did not have it painted and he had owned it since 1995.
