I am looking for a good trailhorse for an excellent and loving forever home. My mum and I have finally made the decision to have a horse in our lives. We both are confident riders and have extensive experience working with and caring for these beautiful animals, and would simply like a gelding or mare to spent time with, work with, take on trails and just be a member of the family. She or he would be boarded on a wonderful friend's property with four other horses, 6,000 square feet of space to him/herself, a roomy shelter, heated water during the winter, access to a SUPERB mobile vet and farrier, and would be living right next door to miles upon miles of trails. S/he would have daily interaction with humans and other horses and would definitely NOT just be let to sit around.
Our specifications are few -- we would like this horse to be at least 15 hands, SOUND, and of course gentled to ride -- English preferred, but not a must. Good manners are a plus, but if they happen to have a few vices we are NOT against working with him/her to smooth them out. It also would be great if you were located within 200 miles of the Reno, Nevada area. We as well can not afford anything over $1500 at present, so please take this into consideration.
