Boils are a common occurrence and everyone has had one once or more. The 1st symptoms of a boil are a bit of agony, infrequently followed by itching. You will notice a red bump in the area that's distressing or itchy. The red bump eventually starts to turn white, and is full of bump. Most boils can be dealt with very easily at home.
Boils sometimes start off as a spot of soreness, becoming hard and swelling, and eventually softening and forming a head. The middle of a boil that is chock-full of pus is soft and is crammed with infection-fighting white blood cells, bacteria and proteins that dispose of the germs. Ultimately the pus creates a head, which can be surgically opened or drained out thru the surface of the skin.
Treatment For Boils On Buttocks
Boils on buttocks are often due to bacteria, germs and friction. Boils on buttocks usually start out as a tender expansion, or red spot. If the boil is in the split of the buttock cheeks, as is ordinary with many pilonidal cysts, any possible incision and drainage of the boil may need a medical doctor.
For other boils which will exist on the cheek of the buttocks, a simple sitz bath performed many times each day should rupture the boil and drain well. Adding some Epsom salts to the sitz bath can be very therapeutic. Keeping regular bowel movements and following a reasonable regular exercise regimen is very important, too.
Home Treatment for Boils
Gently warm a betel leaf until it becomes soft. Coat it with a layer of Castor oil and put it over the inflamed area. Put on a new leaf every couple of hours. After some applications of the Castor oil coated betel leaf the boil will come to a head and drain.
Juice of onion or garlic when applied externally on boils helps to bring them to a head and drain out the pus.
Steep parsley in boiled water until it is soft and juicy. When the parsley is hot, wrap it in clean linen or muslin material and apply it to the affected area.
Crush, grind, or chop garlic and/or onion and put into a cheese cloth and apply the cloth on the area affected. This may help rupture the boil in a jiffy.
Castor bark is profitable in disposing of boils quickly. Grind up some castor bark into powder and put in enough water to make a paste. Apply this paste to the boils once each day.
Mix ground cumin seeds in water to create a paste then administer the paste to the affected area for good results.
One teaspoon of milk cream mixed with 1/2 small spoon of vinegar and a touch of turmeric powder to form a paste. When applied, it helps to bring the boil to a head and heals it without becoming toxic.
