This Victorian ring is set
in 18K red gold and platinum, although most of this jewel is in red
gold, the diamonds are set in platinum. This finds it origin in a much
older period.
The ring holds One lively sparkling light green
olive colored peridot with an estimated weight of 2.12 carats and Two
old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of 0.40
carat and eight old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated
weight of 0.08 carat. Total diamond weight is 0.48 carat.
Originally
the term "Victorian jewels" was designated for articles of jewelry made
in the United Kingdom during the reign of Queen Victoria, but not all
of the many varieties produced during her long reign, 1837-1901, are
now generally classified as Victorian jewels.
