Ted Williams' Frozen Head
It was recently discovered technicians at Alcor Life Extension Foundation may have severed and mutilated Ted Williams' frozen head. If these claims are true, it will be a very dark day for both baseball and those who believe in cryogenics.
Ted Williams, the last baseball player to hit over .400 in a full season, died in July 2002 at age 83. There was much internal Williams' family bickering over how best to deal with Ted Williams' remains, with Ted's son wishing to put Ted's remains into cryogenic storage and Ted's daughter wishing to have Ted's remains cremated. Eventually, Ted's son won ouot and Ted Williams' remains were sent for cryogenic storage to Alcor Life Extension Foundation in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the hopes that one day advancements in medical science would be able to resurrect Ted.
Ted Williams' Frozen Head -- The Details
Larry Johnson, a former executive at Alcor, is coming out with a new book titled "Frozen", in which he details the atrocious behavior and conduct that he witnessed at the Alcor facility. Included in this horrendous conduct is a claim that the workers at the Alcor facility destroyed and mutilated Ted Williams' frozen head. According to Mr. Johnson, Alcor technicians with no medical certifications used crude equipment to decapitate Mr. William's severed head. Among the other allegations, is a claim that these technicians then tried to dislodge Ted Williams' frozen head from a tuna fish by using Ted Williams' frozen head for batting practice.
In addition to the above devilish acts, Mr. Johnson claims that the Alcor technicians conducted other brutal experiments and treatments on other bodies at the Alcor facility. Mr. Johnson's book also includes photos of severed heads and procedures performed on bodies.
If these claims by Larry Johnson prove to be true, that the Alcor technicians decapitated and mutilated Ted Williams' frozen head, by among other things, using Ted Williams' frozen head for batting practice, I hope that the law comes down on these technician thugs as hard as possible.
