"Kick n go"2009-08-16
By Erik Gundersen
I really enjoy this scooter. The hand brake is so much easier than the traditional foot brake. It will not go backwards, but who needs that feature. If you want a leg work out you'll get it at about 11 miles per hour. I use this scooter to have my dog pull me on, it's a blast.
"Just as much fun as when I was a kid."2009-07-26
By Caroline S. Webster (Greenville, SC United States)
I love this scooter. I had one in the 70's, and this one is even more fun. It was easy to put together, as all I had to attach was one wheel and to slide the handlebars into the fork that holds the front wheel. The handlebars stuck, so I called support. They told me that it was a common problem and to use a lubricant. I hosed it down with a WD-40. That did the trick. In other reviews, I kept reading that the t-bar that does the pumping was hard to push. I sprayed the chain with cycle chain lube. No problems. While going up hills is not particularly easy, I can get going pretty fast on level asphalt. The scooter turns on a dime. And it's fun for this "kid-with-experience."
"Defective but fixable"2009-06-29

I orderd this scooter for my 10 year old daughter as a Christmas gift from my parents. It arrived at their house and they could not assemble it because the front fork was bent so much the tire could not be attached. My husband had to make a special trip to their house (an hour away) to repair the scooter and finish assembling it. My daughter was happy with it for a week or two after Christmas, but now has gone back to riding her old scooter. She says it is too hard to kick the pump and that it doesn't go fast enough. The kick pump gets in the way when she tries to ride it like a regular scooter. It's a lot of work to ride and you need to keep switching legs often.
"Unexpectedly Cool - Even for Grown-Ups"2009-06-10
By New Jersey Mama (New Jersey, USA)
I grew up playing with the 70's model of the Kick 'n Go and was a bit skeptical about whether the new model would be as fun. I was really pleased - and my kids were thrilled. The scooter is very well built, sturdy and fast. We all had the hang of it in a few tries (it does take a little bit of practice). The speed is what impressed me - I could see using this as a reliable way to get around town (it folds down easily to fit in the trunk of a car, too). This is not cheaply built at all. For the price, this is a great value. And in terms of the kid's "wow" factor, every one of my children's schoolmates wanted a try as soon as they saw the scooter. Definitely a great gift.
"Too much kicking around..."2009-06-06

Great on flat surface--otherwise it goes faster with feet-to-ground push offs (distance from stand pad to ground is higher than the Razor and the Xootr so you have to dip further to push off with your feet); the back kick is useless where there is the slightest incline; when road is flat the kick bar is good and will keep you going effortlessly without the up and down bobs; solid construction; a bit heavy; I think Xootr would have been better--buying the Xootr--will post review later. This item is useful and fun if you live in a very flat area.
