Have you ever had a "friend" that is never happy for you when you get something cool or achieve something wonderful? I've had a few of them...
In high school my dad bought me my first car, I was really excited about it, I mean who wouldn't be, it wasn't anything fancy (1999 Opel Cub Kadet) but it was exciting! I remember that I couldn't wait to show my friends in the morning. Morning came and I remember standing at our front door when they came to fetch me. I told them that I got my car the day before and they actually looked pissed off, I asked them if they wanted to see it and they said "okay" so I showed them and then they really looked pissed off, they never said a word again about my car, not a "its nice" not a "i'm glad for you" nothing! Well what type of friends do you think they where??
I dont know, but I'm a very different person. When my friends get something, even if its something that I've always wanted...I am genuinely happy for them and I tell them too! Sometimes I even get just as excited about it!

My friend Jana just recently got a promotion and here is her story on something that happened to her at work:
"We both applied for the same job. Everything went fine in the beginning, but on the day they told me that I got the job, she started to talk to me less and less. On the Monday I spoke to her and she did answer me back, but only if I made the first move. So I decided that it’s fine with me, she usually asks me for help with the work, but she started so ask someone else instead of me. So eventually I couldn’t stand it anymore, because it’s not nice to work in a atmosphere, so I e – mailed her and asked her what the problem was. She said that she wasn’t mad at me and that there’s just a lot on her mind and she apologised and said that she was sorry that she had acted as though there was something wrong. But there was nothing wrong! So I decided, well God is blessing me so much in the last few days and the other times in my life and I know that He would want me to forgive her and look past it! So I did and things are going good again!"
