The estimated age of the clock is approximately the late 40's to early
50's. The wind-up and the main spring works just fine and the clock it
self keeps good time as well. The alarm on the other hand, we can't
tell how to set it for testing, ether a lever that activated the alarm
was broken off, or if it needs a key or utensil of some kind to
activate it. It is an idea gift for a collector or a person who likes
vintage items like this. This clock was manufactured by the Lux Clock
