"NEW" Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner

It was absolutely perfect timing when Norwex announced the "New" Oven and Grill Cleaner.
Now is the time when we are all cleaning up our barbeques and putting them away for the season.

I was quite excited to try this cleaner out for a couple of reasons:

1. You can spray the oven and the oven racks all at one time while they in the oven.
2. You can actually use the cleaner on self-cleaning ovens thereby saving on the 3 - 4 hours of energy costs involved in the cleaning process.

At a recent Norwex Corporate Meeting here, a few of the other consultants who had tried the cleaner were quite amazed at how quickly it worked when cleaning the oven. We were also advised that although there are no toxins in the cleaner, there are very powerful enzymes. As such, we should still use common sense when we are spraying it on the surface of the oven.

1. Wear Gloves when cleaning the oven. The enzymes in the cleaner are designed to attack and break down dirt and bacteria. Protect your hands.
2. Do not stick your head in the oven when spraying the cleaner. You didn't do this when you were using the toxic cleaners so why would you start now? Same reason - the enzymes are very powerful and you do not want to breath them into your lungs.

I found that the cleaner was very effective and worked very quickly. No more trying to clean the racks with a spirinette or spirisponge after they had been sprayed and left sit. With the Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner they just wiped right off!

The Norwex Oven & Grill Cleaner is:

OVEN CLEANING TIPS:

• Pre-heat oven to 100 deg.F and turn off before applying product. Pre-heating the surface will energize the microbes and enzymes to work faster.
• Apply undiluted Oven & Grill Cleaner to the top of the oven first, then to the sides and lastly to the bottom.
• Allow the cleaner to work for 5 minutes.
• Wipe the surface with a damp envirocloth and rinse thoroughly with water. Stubborn stains may require more than one application and a scrub with a spirisponge.
• After cleaning, heat the oven to 200 deg. F for 10 minutes prior to use.

GRILL CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS.

• While the grill is warm, take a spatula and remove the excess grease and food deposits by scraping them into a grease trough/trap.
• Apply undiluted Oven and Grill cleaner onto the grill
• Allow to work for 5 minutes.
• Lightly agitate with a spirisponge
• Rinse surface completely with water
• After cleaning, heat grill to 200 deg. F for 10 minutes before using.

HINTS, TIPS AND HOW-TO's

• Use of gloves is recommended as prolonged contact with such effective cleaners can be hard on the skin.
• It is recommended that users heat their ovens to 200 deg. F for 10 minutes after cleaning to eliminate any remaining residue before using the oven. However, as ingredients are 100% safe; this is a suggestion, not a requirement.
• The product works in 5 minutes or less without caustics or acids by using a very aggressive, but safe, microbe/enzyme system. The latest technology has been used to formulate the solution with microbes and enzymes that work much faster than conventional microbe and enzyme-based products.
