August 16th Rich Lafferty (609-774-0586) competed in Round 15 of the East Coast Enduro Associations Itahca Dirt Riders Speedville
Enduro in Speedsville, NY. Norm Foley Ithaca Dirt Riders member helped layout the challenging event through the
woods. Enduro is a timed event through 70-80 miles of trail through the woods where riders have to keep a particular speed
average and are penalized for being early and for being late. Rich LAFFERTY won the event Overall even though he was penalized for
arriving to early at the second timed checkpoint. Lafferty said, " after burning that check early in the morning, I knew I would
have my work cut out for me, so I put my head down and just pinned it." Lafferty rides a KTM motorcycle and is supported by Riders
Choice Cycle 856-327-5200 in Port Elizabeth, Nj along with Dp Brake,Elf oils, Kenda Tires and Msr. This marks LAFFERTY's fifth win this
season and with 4 rounds remaining holds the overall champioship lead for the East Coast Enduro Series. The Speedsville ENDURO
had over 156 starters with just a little over a hundred finishers. The ENduro was tough and challenging for most competitors due to
the heat and the Muddy Terrain. Rich Lafferty's Father Jack Lafferty Sr. 66, was the only finisher in his masters class, for 60 year old
and above. Jack Lafferty Jr. (Richs older brother) 42 of Port Elizabeth also competed and was credited with 10 th overall for the day.
Jack Jr. is a 10 time ECEA cHAMPION. The next Enduro is August 30th in Mauricetown, NJ, iT is put on by the Copetiton Dirt Riders. Compettion
