Q: What is Mediterranean Diet A.K.A. MediterraneanDiet?
A: The Mediterranean Diet was created in 1945 by an American doctor by the name of Ancel Keys. The Mediterranean Diet failed to gain recognition until the late 1990’s and goes against every fundamental thing about we have learned about eating healthy and losing weight. The Mediterranean diet received it’s name from the Mediterranean countries who follow this absurd diet.
Q: Is Mediterranean Diet a Scam, and/or Does Mediterranean Diet really work?
A: Is the Mediterranean Diet a scam. I wouldn’t call it a scam, but it’s not at all cracked up to be what people are reporting.
Think of it like this, the Mediterranean Diet revolves around changing your eating habits to how people from Mediterranean countries eat. Well if you don’t know, Mediterranean countries tend to consume relatively high amounts of fat.
So basically the Mediterranean Diet will urge, you the person, who is trying to lose weight fast, to eat more of what got you to your current weight in the first place.
I think not!
However, I must note that people in Mediterranean countries despite consuming all this fat, do have a lower cardiovascular disease rate than most countries. Does this have anything to do with the Mediterranean Diet helping you to lose weight? My point exactly.
Here are a few testimonials on the Mediterranean Diet from around the web. I have included both positive and negative reviews, so that you may make an informed decision, should you decide to try or buy the Mediterranean Diet program.
Postive Mediterranean Diet Reviews :
Ooops! THERE ARE NONE
Negative Mediterranean Diet Reviews :
“The Mediterranean Diet sucks. Instead of losing 5 pounds in a week. I gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks since starting it. Avoid like the plague”.
“Although green vegetables, a good source of calcium and iron, as well as goat cheese, a good source of calcium, are common in the Mediterranean diet, concerns remain whether the diet provides adequate amounts of all nutrients, particularly calcium and iron.”
~Walter (Nutrionist Doctor)
It appears that the Mediterranean diet meal plan, and all the mediterranean diet recipes are just an overhyped fad, designed to make people more bloated.
However in regards to the other Mediterranean diet reviews, this is the internet, and things change. As soon as I find any evidence of a good review about the Mediterranean diet meal plan, I will update this thread.
Are you thinking of trying the Mediterranean diet?
Do yourself a favor and don’t. Trust me there are much better weight loss programs out there besides the Mediterranean diet that don’t tell you to consume more fat to lose more weight.
One such program is the fatloss4Idiots guide. Not only is it proven for weight loss. It actually makes sense.
