Okay so here it is: I have a military macaw and a blue gold macaw and our landlord let our house go into forclosure without any warning to us. I have a friend that will keep them until I find a home for them but she doesn't want them.
I don't care what the circumstances are I will not rehome them with you unless I feel comfortable with it. Both love kids, and are okay with animals, although my military will set them straight on 'who's boss' and the blue gold will hide behind her.
About the military:
She (I think) is a sweetheart and will sit forever with you scratching her behind the ears. She doesn't go after ear rings or rings, but sometimes she likes necklaces and LOVES buttons (this is the only thing she wont drop on command....opps besides hair ties). She will scream after nine AM if she hasn't been fed and watered, and she will get very grouchy and not want touched after 10 PM (Her bed time)
About the blue gold:
He (I think) is a BABY. Although he is actually older than my mil he acts freash out of the nest. He has never bitten anyone, but acts like it if you are scared. When his wings are grown out he flies very very well and he is relitivally quite for a macaw.
These are expensive birds to buy as well as care for so they are not free. For the right home I will seperate them, but only for those who clearly know their parrots.
The price is as a pair, if seperated they are $700.00 each.
