Are you like me? Beginning to Build your First Business Website?
If you give me 3 minutes to read this article I'll help you to find a really practical solution...
I knew what I wanted to do I just didn't know how to do it! I had spent years managing just about everything in my business - people, programs and products were my bread and butter. What I hadn't done was translated all this onto the web. I'd been burnt before by web designers who charged a fortune just to produce a few pages and I felt as though I was about to land on Mars when ...
A friend of mine, a very good friend, introduced me to a company that really is different in the way they approach "all things web".
I can't say I got there first time. The first thing I did was sign up for a hosting package from a company that you would have heard of as they advertise everywhere. Oh sure they had website building tools and a few other nifty tools but I still felt as though I was floundering around trying to figure out how I got all these great ideas and business practices onto the web.
My challenges were these:
- I didn't have the knowledge of web stuff to even know what I didn't know!
- I was "off-line" smart and "on-line" dumb!
- I didn't have a huge amount of capital to throw at this and I certainly didn't have money to throw away.
- I had other things I just had to get done and not a whole lot of time.
- I needed someone to "hold my hand".
What did I discover? Well my friend introduced me to Ken Evoy's Site Build It programme and I did a bit of research and found that here was all that I needed to BEGIN!
These are what I would call the strong points about SBI
- Firstly, there is a 10 day (10 session guide) to getting started. This isn't for the faint hearted as if you are like me with little knowledge at all it took a little time to become familiar with the terminology but it was worth the effort.
- Secondly, I discovered a whole lot of new friends in the forum area of the website where I could ask questions and see answers to many topics that I was confused about.
- Thirdly, as someone with no HTML skills at all I needed help to build the site and wow did help come in the shape of their site building tools - It is amazing! You can build your pages so quickly with their system. Want a form - no problem the form builder does it. Want to launch your own ezine - again no problem the tool is there. Want to create a customised page rather than just use the template - not a problem you can use their graphics store and upload whatever it is you need.
- Fourthly, they will answer your questions quickly and fairly (what I mean by fairly is they will answer stuff that they are experts at but not areas where we have to find stuff for ourselves)
- Fifthly, the cost of the first year was a fraction of the cost I was paying web designers and web masters.
Well I think I've told you enough for now so why not click on this link and let Ken Envoy show you the ropes. One last thing - one of their mantras is "Don't get rich quick" They want to do it right and you (and me) need to be patient to follow the step by step approach.
I hope this article has been a help to you. So click here to find out more of how I climbed what seemed a huge mountain to get "on line" http://www.sitesell.com/Jonathan10.html. This will take you directly to Site Build It's home page.

I hope it works out as well for you as it did for me!
