What is wakeboard? It is a board that is made of fiber and is used to surf the wake that is created by a speedboat. The first and most crucial thing that you need to consider when selecting your wakeboard is your height and weight. Buoyancy is a particularly vital factor in this sport. If you choose too small a board, you may sink in the water notwithstanding being towed by the motor ship. Your choice of wakeboard should also depend on your ability and experience. Every wakeboard has bindings attached to it. Bindings are of different types. Their basic purpose is to keep the surfer attached to the board. It is almost impossible to impossible to perform flips, swivels and other such tricks on your board if you don't have bindings to keep you attached to the board.

You should choose the bindings depending on whether you shall be the only person to use the board or not. If yes, then you can permanently fix the bindings as appropriate for your feet. If not, then you need to go for flexible bindings which can be altered to fit different surfers.
