 Here is an interesting plan for building a small blast furnace or cupola for home use. You can melt iron with it and cast any item. Usually it is impossible to melt iron in a home workshop but with this easily made furnace you can do just that.
Capable of melting about 330 pounds of iron per hour this enables you to cast any cast iron project. A great money making hobby if you wish.
This furnace is quite easy to build. For fuel you can use barbeque briquettes or best of all coke (a type of coal).
